Medium is the NBC drama that is based on the real life of medium Allison DuBois, who has often used her abilities to aid the local police department. The show provides plenty of entertainment for fans of the standard supernatural shows, or even for fans of detective shows.
The show has a great cast supporting it. Allison DuBois is the strong-willed mother who realizes that she can talk to the dead, read people's thoughts, and see the future. She at first believes that she is losing her mind, but she goes on to realize that she is truly seeing the future. Her husband, Joe, realizes that is she is telling the truth, and he sets out to aid her as much as he can. Joe provides a lot of the mental support that she desperately needs. The District Attorney, Devalos, is very skeptical of her powers. He eventually sees that she is telling the truth though, and he begins to have her use her powers to help them solve some of their toughest cases. Detective Lee Scanlon often helps Allison by accompanying her during her investigations.
Medium is a wonderful show that pleases a wide range of viewers. Allison's attempts to decode her visions in time make for intense television that rarely fails to entertain. It is the best show for anyone who loves a bit of the supernatural in their life.
